The great wild STUDIO
Broadly, this is about attuning to the great wilderness of our bodies to positively impact our sense of health and wellbeing. Specifically, this is a place to share my doctoral research and eco-kinetic approach to therapy–which unites various therapeutic modalities including eco-psychotherapy, somatics, and sensorimotor psychotherapy–promotes the use of natural elements + ingredients, and is intended to support you on your unique pathway to inner and outer transformation.
I am an elected board member of the Dance Movement Therapy Association in Canada and a qualifying Dance/Movement Therapist with the American Dance Therapy Association. I am also an endorsed practitioner of the Boston Children’s Foundation Attunement Program called Rainbowdance. I believe in the psychotherapeutic use of creative, relational, embodied movement to promote the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of self. You can find out more about my approach and how to book time with me here.
I am also currently a Ph.D. researcher and Studio Instructor in the Dance Department at York University and am an associate with Sensorium: Centre for Digital Arts and Technology, where I’m developing eco-kinetic workshops for health and wellbeing, and am exploring the use of immersive, virtual, and mixed technologies in Dance/Movement Therapy.
I am deeply passionate about integrating the use of natural ingredients in sensory explorations of inner nature. I often make or recommend custom tools, blends, and wildcrafted remedies for clients I am working with to support sensorimotor connections and expand possibilities for regulation.
